PE and Sports Funding
PE and Sports Premium Plan for 2021-22
Since September 2013 the government has provided additional funding of £150 million per annum to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding – provided jointly by the Department for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport – is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools; however, schools will have the freedom to choose how they do this, within the Conditions of Grant issued by the Department for Education. The aim of this funding is to make sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport in schools.
Clandon C of E School received £16,000 plus a premium of £5 per pupil for each academic year to improve the provision of PE across the whole school.
The school's "Sports Premium Action Plan 2021-22" is available below and shows how the money will be invested during this academic year.
