Christian Distinctiveness
Based on our Christian ethos Clandon School nurtures children's growth, helping them to develop deep roots of Christian understanding, spirituality and guiding virtues. All children are empowered to blossom in God’s image, to do small things with great love and to know that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.
Our core values of friendship, kindness, community, perseverance and thankfulness are at the heart of our whole school community:
Special prayers are said in class at the start of each day, at lunchtime and at home time.
Father Barnaby from our local church visits Clandon School once a week to lead a service of collective worship. Children also participate in daily school-led collective worship (assembly).
At the festivals of Harvest, Christmas and Easter children usually attend a school service at our local church, led by Father Barnaby. Children take part in the services either singing, reading or saying prayers they have written. Families are invited to join these services.
